At Sean’s funeral I drove the unit which carried Sean’s coffin, I must say I was a little apprehensive about doing it, but made easier by knowing it would be the last thing I would ever be able to do for him, in fact it was the greatest honour to be able to do this for him and his family.

He never asked anyone to do anything he wouldn’t do himself and sometimes in the case of a difficulty he was prepared to put on his overalls and help if necessary. He respected and had confidence in employees who knew their job and left us to get on with our work.

On a personal level Sean was the best boss I have ever had and I’m sure the rest of my day shift colleagues would agree with me, his death has left a huge gap at the depot and as a boss and friend we are still trying to come to terms with his untimely death, he is greatly missed and no words can ever express the shock and sadness that we feel in the loss of a great guy.
